POST MERGER ACQUISITION GROWTH/ STRATEGIC INITIATIVES SELECTION - Evaluated existing situation and identified key gaps and lack of cohesive post acquisition growth strategy for business unit within $2B global publishing and information services company seeking to grow from $35M to $75M by 2011. Provided solutions and led senior management in opportunity selection to ensure execution and reduce initiatives from 40 to 8 (80% decrease).




MARKET ENTRY STRATEGY – Helped to solve problem of stagnant growth and incremental growth improvements for business unit of Fortune 1000 Chemical Company seeking to enter the Fuel Ethanol and Biodiesel markets through new venture. Developed market entry strategy and roadmap to help add $25M in revenue in 5 years, and up to $300M in ten years.




GROWTH STRATEGY EXECUTION - INTERIM MANAGEMENT - Served as head of Process and Projects group in the Corporate Finance area of a Fortune 150 energy company as part of interim management role. Effectively led efforts for 20+ projects within a four month timeframe including the five-year strategic business planning process (70+ managers), the annual offsite meeting (30+ senior managers), and monthly and quarterly management committee presentations for the Board of Directors, senior management team, and division presidents.




STRATEGY FORMULATION & EXECUTION – Formulated strategy and approach to conduct a review of a key business within a Division of a Fortune 100 Insurance Company. Evaluated several business opportunities and alternatives (invest, as-is, consolidate, divest) to ensure alignment with Company’s strategic business goals. Recommendation and leading extended team in implementation (six months) resulted in a $2.5M savings on a $20M business.




MERGER INTEGRATION - Successfully led integration efforts for Environmental and New Business area of Fortune 500 Energy Company after acquisition on time and on budget. Served at senior-level status meetings and provided recommendations and led implementation of best practices.




COMPETITIVE ASSESSMENT - Created solution to close existing gap of lack of knowledge and strategy around the competitive landscape for Division of Fortune 100 Insurance Company. Led Competitive Intelligence (CI) activities, designed CI function, and implemented CI process. Results included helping to improve the expansion efforts of the Division’s move to downstream markets, providing Division senior management and sales force with strategic information to drive business improvements, product development, and sales strategies, and contributing to meeting aggressive revenue goal of over $300M.
