MICHELLE FAUSTIN, FOUNDER & CEO, MJF STRATEGY
Ms. Faustin, President & CEO of MJF Strategy, a Growth Strategy consulting firm and independent consultancy recognized by the Philadelphia Business Journal, CFO Magazine, and the Interim Association, has over 16 years experience and has been successfully serving clients by providing consulting and interim management services since 1996. She is a growth strategy and business expansion expert who has worked with and for organizations ranging from start-ups to Fortune 100 companies including Time Warner, CIGNA, Colgate-Palmolive, Constellation Energy, NRG, Elsevier, and Club Med – just to name a few. Her past experience includes industries such as Technology, Insurance, Printing & Distribution, Broadcasting, Publishing, Music, Cable, Travel, Consumer Products, Education, and Energy.
Ms. Faustin has consistently achieved results and created change by maintaining a customer focus and utilizing simplicity and creativity in her analyses. Her ability to leverage her strategy, marketing, and financial background as well as identify key “gaps” or “holes” in organizations have consistently led to opportunities to increase clients’ top and bottom line growth.
Prior to starting MJF Strategy, Ms. Faustin worked for the CIGNA Corporation where she was the head of Competitive Intelligence for the Group Insurance Division. In this role and function, which she created, Ms. Faustin led major competitive intelligence efforts for Division senior management and all other key functional areas. Efforts included product development and management, competitor positioning, trend analyses, Six Sigma process redesign, brand strategy, sales training, staffing strategies, etc. In addition, Ms. Faustin led Division-wide Customer Satisfaction Survey efforts and designed and implemented a Customer Satisfaction Action Plan process to ensure that the voice of the customer was used a driver to create change.
Prior to that role, Ms. Faustin led an extended project team and completed an evaluation and review of CIGNA’s in-house Printing & Distribution business where she saved $2.5M on a $20M business within six months. Ms. Faustin also worked as a Manager of Strategy for Accenture where she focused primarily on marketing and market entry strategies for B2B start-up technology solutions companies and in Mergers & Acquisitions and Assurance and Business Advisory Services at Ernst & Young LLP. Ms. Faustin also held various financial roles at the Colgate-Palmolive Company.
Ms. Faustin holds an MBA from Duke University and a BS from Morgan State University where she graduated Summa Cum Laude. Ms. Faustin is also a nonpracticing Certified Public Accountant.
Ms. Faustin is active in several professional and community organizations. She is a mentor with Big Brothers Big Sisters and has volunteered for the United Way, March of Dimes, and Habitat for Humanity organizations. Ms. Faustin is also the Founder and President of the Dance to Succeed Scholarship for underprivileged girls. In 2004, Ms. Faustin was selected as the first Honorary Inductee into the Beta Alpha Psi Honor Society at her alma mater, Morgan State University. In 2005 & 2007, Ms. Faustin was selected as a presenter of top awards at the Philadelphia 100® Annual Awards Ceremony. In 2008, Ms. Faustin was chosen to be a speaker for the Princeton and Philadelphia chapters of the Women Presidents’ Organization (WPO) and in 2009, Ms. Faustin was profiled by the INTERIM Association and CFO Magazine.
Ms. Faustin currently resides in the Philadelphia area and enjoys sports, dance, and travel.
